A symbiotic relationship with art born between the aisles of St. Augustine's Church.
In the square named after St. Augustine where the church of the same name stands austere flanked by the convent, the passion that would later become the profession of Daniele Rossi, a restorer from San Gimignano known all over the globe.. He lived next to the square and frequented the oratory, appreciating by day and dreaming by night of the works of art he found inside the church; as a child he thus cultivated his love for art and for San Gimignano.
The masterpieces he could only admire before would later become the subject of his work; works with which he would establish a direct and symbiotic relationship, touching them with his hands and giving them new life.
The first approach with the image developed right inside the church of St. Augustine, forging Daniele's career and awakening emotions linked to childhood upon crossing the threshold of the church to this day.
He has restored the works of the great masters of the Renaissance and beyond, such as the Pontormo, the Rosso Fiorentino, the Pollaiolo, also working for world-renowned collectors and antique dealers in Italy, France, England and America. But his point of departure is also the point of return. After training in Rome he returned to San Gimignano, collaborating with the major museum centers related to ancient art, such as the Palazzo Comunale and the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and finding in the City of Towers a personal refugee, a safe haven of peace and serenity: "fortunately I am able to enter these places and still experience the fascination of the works I put my hands on, but also to find an inner tranquility."
